Difficulties in Teaching the Subject of Textiles from the Perspective of Female Students in the Home Economics Department at the College of Education for Women, University of Baghdad

The study aimed to identify the difficulties of teaching textiles from the point of view of students of the Department of Home Economics at the College of Education for Girls at the University of Baghdad in Iraq, and to achieve the goal of the study was based on the descriptive analytical approach, as the researcher designed a questionnaire and distributed to the study community, which consisted of a sample of female students of the College of Education for Girls at the University of Baghdad in Iraq, which is estimated at (25) students, and the data was analyzed using the SPSS program version /25/.. The study reached several main conclusions, including: the subject is long and contains difficult vocabulary, the circumstances of some students limit their tendencies towards the subject, the teachers' lack of consideration of the individual differences between students, the ambiguity of some test questions, the lack of extracurricular activities in the home economics major. The researcher also recommended several recommendations, most notably: taking into account the length of the study material with the duration of the semester, clarifying the difficult vocabulary contained in the course.
