Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the attitudes of the faculty members at the College of Basic Education towards the use of digital learning skills in the initial studies. The College of Basic Education for the departments (Arabic Language, Quran Sciences, Kindergarten, and Mathematics), were chosen by the exclusive method, and due to the nature of the research, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach, and to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a trend scale consisting of (21) items. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were verified, and the statistical analysis package (SPSS) was adopted to extract the results that showed: 1. The attitudes of faculty members at the College of Basic Education towards the use of digital learning skills in the initial studies came to a high degree. 2. There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0. 05) in the degree of attitudes of faculty members at the College of Basic Education towards the use of digital learning skills in the initial studies, according to the gender variable, which is attributed to the benefit of males. 3. There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0. 05) in the degree of attitudes of faculty members at the College of Basic Education towards the use of digital learning skills in the initial studies according to years of experience. The researcher recommended the following: The need to develop plans for the development of professional competencies and training activities in the use of digital education skills through training courses and workshops. Preparing a guide for faculty members in practicing and using digital learning skills in order to activate the faculty members’ use of digital learning skills. Emphasizing the importance of the Ministry of Higher Education introducing the digital learning culture among students and achieving maximum interaction with this type of digital learning, as well as enriching teacher preparation programs with the importance of digital learning skills.
