Abstract

The introduction of Islam to India had an important impact on women, as the status of women in Islam differs radically from what came before. Hence, this research tries to confirm that Islam gave women freedom and an important role in public life in the country of India during the Islamic era, and it also had a positive influence on Hindu women and modified some of their habits in rituals and daily life. A number of primary sources close to India's Islamic history have been employed, as well as other supporting references.
