coming from the Ottoman state of Egypt, hence our study came to shed light on the rule of Amir Shihabi who received power to prepare for him all the conditions to consolidate the foundations of his rule in the country. The importance of the research comes from the fact that it sheds light on the conflicts and divisions in the Lebanese provinces for the rulers of the other Ottoman provinces to exploit and incite one party against another.
