Abstract

This research examines the religious influence in the poetry of Dr. Amjad Al-Fadil through a rhetorical study. It comprises an introduction and two sections. The introduction addresses the concept of religious influence linguistically and terminologically, while the first section examines the religious sources in his poetry, specifically the vocabulary of the Holy Quran. The Hadith, and figures from the Prophet's family, and the second section deals with the rhetorical use of religious influence in his poetry; through two axes; the first is language at the level of the individual word, and at the level of the structure, and the second is the artistic image: (simile - metaphor – metonymy)
