The Words Indicating the Slow Function of a Person in the Lexicon of the Arabs by ibn Manzoor (d. 711 ah): A Study in the Light of the Theory of Semantic Fields.

Abstract

The Arabic dictionary is one of the richest dictionaries in monitoring words and documenting their connotations throughout the ages, as it preserved a tremendous linguistic wealth that reveals the minutes and diversity of Arab uses and their diversity. Among this wealth is what is related to the words of traffic and movement, it is one of the most related fields of the life of the Arab person; Because the walk in his desert environment and his daily experience. And if the walk in its general indicates the transition and movement, then the slow walking represents a special color of the movement, this research was established in a dictionary of Arabic dictionary, which is the tongue of the Arabs of Ibn Manzur, and we have made the theory of semantic fields a path for it, so our means in it was the descriptive approach, preceded by the statistics and followed by the analysis, so we monitored the words of the slow biography that indicates the human being ((The words indicating the slow biographies in the lexicon of the tongue of the Arabs by Ibn Manzoor (d. 711 AH) a study in the light of the theory of semantic fields)), and we distributed these words according to the semantic fields to two fields: 1_ (Al -Falaz is the functioning of the man) and 2_ (the words of the child's course), and the arrangement of the two fields came in the research according to the large number Its words, and arranged the words inside the field a thousand oral arrangement according to the first words with abstraction. Its words were twenty -eight words, and the semantic development had an effect on some words, some of which indicated the animal's functioning, then it was called the functioning of the human being.
