This research explores intellectual leadership in Mesopotamia, emphasizing its foundational role in the emergence of many of humanity’s earliest cultural and intellectual achievements. The study examines contributions of the Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians across multiple knowledge domains, including the invention of cuneiform writing, codification of laws, development of religious and philosophical concepts, and advancements in mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and engineering. Employing a historical-analytical methodology and utilizing cuneiform texts and archaeological evidence, the research uncovers the intellectual and creative roots of Mesopotamian civilization. The findings reveal that Mesopotamia was not only the cradle of early intellectual endeavors but also a dynamic center of innovation, establishing traditions that influenced subsequent civilizations, including Greek and Islamic thought. Consequently, Mesopotamian intellectual leadership represents a pivotal stage in human thought evolution and provides a profound understanding of the foundations of human civilization.
