علم اللغة السلوكي - دراسة في فكر ليونالد بلومفيلد (1887 – 1949)
Keywords:
behavioral linguistics, BloomfieldAbstract
Behavioral linguistics gained a special place in America, so Bloomfield took it as a method for studying language. She was able to draw clear boundaries. The methods of research were the first building blocks for all linguistic activities in America. His book known as (The Bible of American Linguistics) is rightly considered a constitution for linguistics in that particular era. Our research proceeds by emphasizing the importance of Bloomfield in establishing behavioral linguistics in North America and revealing his scientific effort and ideas that enriched linguistics. This led some scholars to follow him and be enthusiastic about his teachings, as it prompted others to oppose him and confront his theories.
