The Role of Media in Implementing Media Policies and Its Relationship with the Political System

Abstract

The importance of this research  stems from the fact that the majority of Iraqis are unaware of why a particular media outlet aligns with a certain perspective. To address this ambiguity, the study aims to clarify each outlet's affiliations by dispelling the notion of media independence or the possibility of independence from government policies, especially in the context of the upcoming years in Iraqi society. The study will employ both a theoretical (documentary) and a practical approach, relying on Iraqi, Arab, and foreign sources, references, and studies to identify and analyse the issue, thus fulfilling the explanatory purpose of the research.
