Contemporary Arabic poetry is considered the summary of poetic experiences extending from the beginning of the creation of this universe to the present day. It derives its images from the events that occurred to man on this earth. These events, with their strange and extraordinary nature, influenced poetry, and from them the poet took his material according to what the poetic situation called for, and it was the source. Who draws from it to increase the vitality of the text and bring it closer to the recipient, and the poet Fadel Al-Azzawi is one of the modern poets who is most open to the strange and the supernatural and the one who uses them the most in his poetry, and he has his distinctive mark in this matter Therefore, we decided to address this issue in some of his poems in which he opened up to these matters. The study was divided into an introduction and two sections. The first section was openness to the strange, and the second section was openness to the supernatural. The study ended with a conclusion with the most important results and a list of sources and references.
