Acts of violence or armed conflict often result in the displacement of civilians from the areas in which these acts take place، as these people are forced to leave everything they own behind and travel long distances، often on foot، in search of a safe haven away from acts of violence. In view of the unstable situation in which many displaced persons and displaced persons find themselves within the borders of their countries، they constitute a high percentage of the beneficiaries of the activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross that it carries out، as the governments in those countries strive to strive to ensure the voluntary and safe return of their displaced citizens. To achieve this، that voluntary and safe return should be preceded by activities that achieve the greatest possible guarantee for that return، as those governments seek to achieve this in cooperation with international organizations specialized in the humanitarian aspect، the most prominent of which is the International Committee of the Red Cross.
